Vandusen Flower & Garden Show W I N N E R announced! 5/30/02 -- Reinier van de Poll was the designer for a ground breaking garden display venture undertaken by Van de Poll Garden Design, Mandeville Garden Centre, Northwest Landscape Supply, and Hunter Landscape. With media support by The Vancouver Sun and The VanDusen Flower & Garden Show, this innovative garden was featured before the VanDusen Show at Mandeville Garden Centre in May, 2002. Supplies were from Northwest Landscape Supply and installation by Hunter Landscape. The garden was rebuilt and displayed at the VanDusen Flower and Garden Show. The prize garden--named 'The Sanctuary'--included all materials and installation (a $40,000 value). There were over 30,000 entrants in the contest. Look in The Vancouver Sun's Friday At Home section (in Spring 2003) for coverage on the process of custom designing and installing the winning garden. The winners, Cathie and Ernie Leffler of Burnaby, were thrilled with seeing the garden design and project come together in their own back yard. Other stories: |
